Looking for treasure? Wondering how an estate sale works? This page is for you!

What to expect from an estate sale.

Is it an auction?

Nope! The prices are as marked on each item. If you see an item and you like the price, you can pay for it and take it home.

So I just show up and walk in?

Yes! It’s a free-form system. We organize different rooms in the house with different “themes” of items, such as tools or kitchenware, but you’re free to wander the house in any way that you’d like.

Which payment options do you take?

We accept cash, debit/credit and e-transfers

What time should I show up?

We hand out up to 30 numbered tickets to those that line up at the door by 7:30 am.

These tickets are typically all given out within 5 minutes.

We invite everyone else to come by any time and join the line up, and we let in about 5-10 people at a time, depending on the size of the home.

Lines and weather are par for the course when it comes to estate sales. If lines aren’t your thing then I would encourage you to keep an eye on our social media for a post announcing when we have made it through the line. At that point, you can come on by and walk right in.

How does the number system work?

If you’re early enough to get a number, then your spot in line is secured!

After you get a number, you can go grab a coffee and sit in your car until just before the sale starts at 9:00. No matter how many people show up after you, if you have ticket #8 you are going to be the 8th person we let into the house.

Are the prices negotiable?

Our prices are as marked. We set the prices on the items in consultation with the family, and as such we cannot offer to negotiate.

What about furniture? Will you carry large items out to my vehicle for me?

Large items such as furniture are the responsibility of the purchaser to move. This includes carrying out the item from the point of sale to your vehicle.

However, large items don’t need to be picked up right away. Typically we schedule a time after the sale when large items can be picked up. This gives you time to arrange transport and find help with moving the item.
